Little Kulala Namibia
Sleep under the stars and slide down a dune

The desert is magical, mysterious, and the ideal place to just reconnect with you. The amazing colours, textures, sounds and endless space simply draw you in. My stay at Little Kulala, a luxury desert retreat, was one of those wonderfully reflective moments in my life. It's impossible to not be completely transported away by the place. Situated in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve, this is also the gateway to Namibia's Sand Sea. Here gigantic red dunes tower above you, and at night the sky literally shimmers with stars.

Activities include nature drives, walking trails, and a scorpion walk which proved quite fascinating. My favourite though was the Sundowner tour, one of the best scenic safaris I've ever been on. The desert-adapted wildlife is fascinating to witness and the guides a veritable fountain of information. This really is one of those special places everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
