The remote, wild beauty of the Lower Zambezi National Park is the setting for this seven-tent camp. Set on wooden platforms, with fantastic elevated views over the water, my spacious accommodation emanates an authentic out of Africa feel: Canvas walls, beautiful carved furniture, woven chairs, timber flooring all adding an unmistakable touch of luxury. Acacia trees shade the central Bedouin-style tent that houses the intimate open dining and relaxation areas, and pool.
Sitting with guests around the camp fire, I'm waxing lyrical about the guided canoe ride that got me up close and personal with hippos, bucks and bird life (I'm equally complimentary about the cold beer enjoyed aboard the motorboat that towed us back to base!). Others tell of the sunset river cruise that brings you face to face with bull elephants, zebras and buffalo bathing and drinking, 4x4 night drives, and exhilarating game fishing escapades. Can't wait!
