Moving luxury

If I close my eyes, I can imagine I'm in a film set in some bygone era. And when I open them, the reality is just as good. There is a palpable sense of romance and mystery when you travel by train. And when the scenery flitting by you is magical Africa, it only adds to that sense. Established in 1989, the Rovos Rail is world-class travel at its best. In fact they contain the most spacious train suites in the world.

I found every modern convenience and comfort. The restored coaches, some of which date back to 1911 haven't lost any of their old-world charm, despite the 21st century tweaks and updates. Along with this luxury, comes great cuisine and service. In fact I was totally spoiled. There are no radios or television sets onboard, but that I found only adds to the old-world elegance. All aboard! You won't regret it.
