Set on the banks of the now dry Savute channel in the vast Chobe National Park, this luxury camp has 12 raised, tented suites under thatch. My view deck adorned with comfortable chairs and hammock, elegant outdoor lounge, lavish four poster bed, en suite and dressing room, provide the most sumptuous sanctuary from the midday sun. As for the views? Truly special!
Home to the highest concentration of elephant in Africa (50,000 of the noble beasts!), there's superlative game viewing to be had, both around and in the actual camp itself. I've spotted large prides of lion and other predators, an endless array of birds and animals around the camp's waterhole, rare san rock paintings and giant baobab trees. But today it's about chilling in the pool, lunching in the outdoor boma, feasting in the relaxed quiet of the camp's raised restaurant, and finishing with a nightcap under the stars.
