They said I would be surprised and I was. Pleasantly so! The Fort is unique and quite wonderful, combining African, Moroccan and Indian flavours. The views are spectacular. Well of-course it is. It overlooks the starkly beautiful Etosha Pans with its hundreds of Camel Thorn trees and fascinating wildlife. Morning, afternoon and night drives offered me the opportunity to experience it all up close and personal.
My mini suite, one of 12, was incredibly private and intimate. Located at least 50 metres away from the next one, it provide me with the perfect retreat when I just wanted to be by myself. My bathroom was also very spacious with both an inside and outside shower. But incredible views were always accessible as wooden decks lead me to the outside seating area where I could enjoy good company and sundowners. A really special place and one I can't wait to return to.
