Walking through the lush tropical gardens, it's hard not to fall in love with the old world colonial charm of this Edwardian-style five star hotel. Situated in the Victoria Falls National Park, a world heritage site, this refurbished venue offered me a stay I will not soon forget. Everything from my accommodation to my meals to the wonderful service and hospitality to the varied activities combined to make an experience to treasure.
One of my favourite moments was a sunset cruise on the gorgeous Zambezi River. Great company, stunning natural surroundings and glimpses of crocodiles and hippos lazing in the waters make this journey a very special and memorable one indeed. And of-course there is the hotel itself. A real character in her own right she has entertained important people from presidents to kings and queens. But really everyone should stay here at least once.
