Situated in the Drakenstein Valley of Paarl, the Grande Roche is a celebrated international hotel. It's easy to see why! Steeped in history and a heritage dating back to 1717, the estate together with all its farmland and restored historical buildings has been declared a national monument. As it should be! I was completely seduced by the place. And once you've experienced the spectacular views of the Cape Winelands and the warm hospitality, you will be too.
This Cape Dutch homestead offers a variety of luxurious accommodation, and left me feeling utterly pampered. When it came to mealtimes I looked no further than the Bosman Restaurant. Breakfast, lunch or supper, I always knew I was in for a treat. The well-stocked cellar with rare wines and vintage champagnes completed the dining experience. A winner in the local and international hospitality scene, this is one place I'll be calling on again!
