Tucked away in the beautiful Constantia Valley, I found the enchanting Cellars-Hohenort, comprising the restored 18th century Klaasenbosch wine cellars and a truly splendid Manor House. 53 luxury rooms and suites with breathtaking views of world-renowned gardens and vineyard, 3 salt chlorinated solar heated swimming pools, tennis courts, a D & D Spa for complete relaxation, a wine cellar, private dining room, and a Gary Player designed putting and chipping green...need I say more!
When it comes to fine dining, I was also spoiled for choice. The Cape Malay Restaurant offers authentic Cape Malay food, unique to the Western Cape and is open 7 days a week. And I was utterly entranced with The Greenhouse, a charming restaurant built around a 300-year old oak tree, and The Martini, where I enjoyed, well a martini, from one of the world's longest martini lists. This is one place I won't be forgetting in a hurry!
