Toka Leya Camp Zambia
Livingstone - Waterfalls
A river runs through it !

Overlooking the banks of the awesome Zambezi, Toka Leya's 12 tented suites are airy, open and enhanced by the earthy colours and design influences of Africa. But it is the great outdoors that is made the main focus, that grand expanse of water and bush lying just beyond my private wooden deck. Sitting out here I feel as much as see the river - its birds, elephants and hippos providing an unmistakable sense of place.

My climate-controlled suite is connected to the main camp buildings by a series of wooden walkways. I head to the sundeck for a light lunch and spit my day between the pool deck loungers and the refreshingly cool waters of the infinity pool. Lazy? Perhaps, but I'm conserving energy for tonight's sunset river cruise, tomorrow's game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National park, an upcoming cultural tour of Livingstone. And then there's that once-in-a-lifetime trip to Vic Falls...
